The chapel in honor of the Immaculate Conception of Mary was built in 1877 by the civil community. The reason for this was the demolition of the Holy Cross Chapel at the entrance to the Höfental, which stood in the way of the construction of the railway line, and the associated sale of the area to the Württemberg State Railway.
The chapel was inaugurated in 1878 by Pastor Back, who celebrated his 50th anniversary as a priest in Straßberg in 1876. On September 3, 1950, a small bell (20 kg)
