Running
It originates in the Orobie Alps from Monte Torena (at an altitude of 2,911 meters) in the territory of Valbondione.
In its first mountain section, it carves and shapes the homonymous Val Seriana.
Descending to the south, it reaches the urban area of Seriate. Subsequently, in the upper Bergamo plain, its waters tend to partially infiltrate the calcareous subsoil to then re-emerge in the Cremona plain.
