    Hiking

St Leonard's is a picturesque church in the peaceful rural setting of Ribbesford. Carvings on the door hint at its Norman origins. A storm badly damaged the building in 1877, leading to major restoration works. Not all were in favour of the restoration's approach: it's apparent lack of care famously aroused the wrath of John Ruskin, the Victorian art critic.
