During our visit to the Zwin Nature Park, Barry Flanagan's hare triggered us all day.

Barry Flanagan is the "Keuning van't Zwin".
It is a nice work of art that is far away in the dune landscape. This giant hare is regularly in the spotlight. Flanagan the hare stands for freedom, independence, dynamism, fertility, strength and individuality. The hare and not a rabbit, which one would expect in this biotope, has stood for hospitality here since 1997 and that is a concept for the seaside resort of Knokke.

About the British artist Barry Flanagan. He was one of the most striking figures in post-war sculpture. His works can be understood by the broad layers of the population throughout Europe, North and South America, Asia, Australia, ... Using a classical formal language, he addressed themes such as the situation of the individual and the artist in society.

Enough reasons to end our day at our coast at the King of the Zwin.
And like so many before us, together with Barry Flanagan's hare on the photo with the setting sun.
