The old station of Santa Cristina de Aro was part of the Carrilet, a railway that was used as a maritime link between the main port of goods in the area, located in Sant Feliu de Guíxols, and the inland towns of the region. On April 10, 1969, it ceased to function and today the building is used as the local tourist office.
