The houses in Khumjung are well maintained. A trip to this village or a night out worth it.
Khumjung also has otherwise an impressive infrastructure for the actually poor area. There are power cables and street lamps running in the ground. Donated by donations from first-time climber of Mount Everest, Sir Edmund Hillary.

The town of Khumjung, along with the directly adjacent village of Khunde, is located at an altitude of 3780 m in a basin, the Khumjung Valley at the foot of Khumbi Yul Lha, the sacred mountain of the Sherpas. In the monastery, the legendary Yeti Scalp can be seen.
