Castle, sculptures, beautiful view, what more do you need?

During the culture days of the municipality of Liebenburg a few years ago, the international artist Professor Gerd Winner, who lives in the baroque palace and also works there, kindly offered to guide interested participants through the Salzgitter-Bad Sculpture Trail, which is part of the Road of Peace.
At that time, the idea arose to erect sculptures made of Salzgitter steel on the site of the former castle complex in Liebenburg in order to connect this beautiful area to the Straße des Friedens.
Although it is always difficult to single out individual actors, we would like to mention Gerd Winner, who is now also an honorary citizen of Liebenburg and who, with the active support of his wife Martina, has pursued this goal with extraordinary commitment.
Special thanks also go to Salzgitter AG and DEUMU for providing the steel and making the sculptures.
