Around the König-Adolf-Platz are some of the most beautiful half-timbered houses far and wide. There's a lot going on here on a sunny day. There are good cafes, a bakery and restaurants. In the Middle Ages a market was held here and even today it is very pleasant to live here.

König-Adolf-Platz was built in the 1930s after the town hall, located on what is now the northwest side, was pushed forward by a rock slide in 1928 and was restored in 1932/33. In connection with these construction measures, the Walter and Ries houses located southeast of the town hall were soon demolished, which created free space for the construction of König-Adolf-Platz. In 1937, the lion fountain by the Wiesbaden sculptor Carl Wilhelm Bierbrauer was installed on the newly designed square.König-Adolf-Platz was originally open to car traffic before it was converted into a pedestrian zone in 1986more information at:
