Forte Fratello Minore was built between 1815 and 1832 on the lowest peak of Monte "Due Fratelli", also called Monte Spino. Its position dominates the Val Polcevera.
It was part of the fortification system of the city of Genoa together with Forte Puin, Forte Diamante and Forte Fratello Maggiore.
It was abandoned in the late 1800s and reused during the Second World War.translated by
