Tips
The rock tower with the small staircase, shown several times in the photos, is the Freedom Rock. It was inaugurated on the night of June 30 to July 1, 1930, as part of a liberation celebration with the inscription "We are free!" This date marks the return of independence after Königstein had previously been under Allied occupation.Directly in front of it, two benches invite you to take a short break and offer a beautiful view of the Woogtal Valley, the Woogtalweiher pond, and the Reichenbach and Woogbach streams.
