A sloping terrace that traverses below the battlements of Tryfan's awesome east face. It offers walkers an alternative to the technical north ridge, as the terrace ends high up on the slightly more straightforward south ridge.

Those wanting to access the various gullies and buttresses that seem to cascade from the leviathan spine above are also well served by the Heather Terrace. Scrambles of every grade begin here; it's a veritable adventure playground.
