Hiking
1. **Opening**: Linde station opened in 1869 and initially served as an important transport hub for passenger and freight traffic between Cologne and Lindar and the surrounding towns and communities.
2. **Importance for mining**: There were several coal mines near Linde station, which were a significant economic factor in the 19th century. The station therefore played an important role in the transport of miners, coal and other goods.

5. **Decline and closure**: With the decline of mining and the advent of road transport in the second half of the 20th century, Linde station gradually lost importance. The Cologne-Lindar line was eventually closed and the station became a relic of times gone by.
