A beautiful memorial place in the middle of the forest.

On the Eichberg plateau southeast of Paudorf there is a stand of sequoia trees that is unique in its size in Austria.
In this area, Mr. Prelate Adalbert Dungel from Göttweig Abbey planted several seeds of "Wellingtonia gigantea" in the ground in 1880. Today these "Adalbert Wellingtonias" tower as true sequoia trees high above the treetops of the surrounding forests.
