Under the canopy of tall trees and in the shade of the steep walls of the Kamnik Mountains stands the hunting lodge of King Alexander. The building was built for the needs of his family by the Yugoslav King Alexander I. Karadžordžević in the period between the wars. Since only the best is good enough for the king, the project was entrusted to the best Yugoslav architect of the time, Jože Plečnik. It is after him that today the hut is called Plečnik's mansion. Construction was completed in 1934.
