In addition to the Herdringen Castle, which is well worth seeing, there are some beautiful trails and good connections in all directions. The trail along the Schloßwiese is a nice descent and you can take a few junctions in the direction of Habbeler Weg from there to the Teussenberg, the view of Herdringen, Hüsten, Müschede is worth the climb.

Herdringen Castle is the seat of the Barons von Fürstenberg. It was built in the English Tudor style between 1844 and 1853 by the Cologne cathedral builder Ernst Friedrich Zwirner.
In the 1960s, Herdringen Castle was the location and backdrop for the two Edgar Wallace films "The Black Abbot" and "The Forger of London". In 2008 the castle was used for filming the ZDF series "Krupp - Eine deutsche Familie".
Today the castle is used for celebrations and meetings. A visit is unfortunately only possible for groups after prior registration.
The game reserve at the castle is very popular with families with small children. The animals can be observed and they are often fed by the children.
It is definitely worth taking a short break here.
