    from Wikipedia .:

The Sint-Ludgeruskerk is a church building in Neerrepen in the Belgian municipality of Tongeren in the province of Limburg. The church is located on the north side of the village on Neerrepenstraat with the cemetery on the southwest side of the church.

The basilica building consists of a built-in west tower, a three-aisled nave, a transept and a semi-circular closed choir with a straight span. The choir is flanked by sacristies. The tower is built in marl stone and has two sections, on each side it has an arched reverberation hole and crowned by a constricted needle point covered with slates. The rest of the building is made of flint and has a frieze with a checkerboard motif on consoles under the eaves, round arch windows and a brick and marlstone finish. The west facade has a rectangular bluestone portal under a miter-shaped lintel, surmounted by an oculus. Between the central aisle and the side aisles is a round arch arcade on pillars with a cover plate. Above the ground floor of the tower is a marl stone rib vault. Above the choir closure there is a half dome. The rest of the building has wooden ceilings.

The church is the parish church of the village and is dedicated to Saint Ludgerus.

The church was originally dedicated to Saint Michael.

The core of the current building was erected in the 11th-12th century. It was a three-aisled Romanesque basilica built in flint.

The southern transept arm was built in the Gothic style in the 15th century.

The marlstone tower was built at the end of the 15th century.

Since the 16th century, the church has been dedicated to Saint Ludgerus.

Presumably in the 16th century, the Romanesque aisles were replaced by Gothic aisles with large round arch windows and raised to a pseudo-basilica upright. In addition, the Romanesque skylights of the clerestory disappeared. The central aisle and the two side aisles were also placed together under one gable roof. Also

At the end of the 17th century, the Romanesque choir was replaced by another choir with a straight span but with a flat choir closure.

In 1909 the church building was restored and rebuilt by M. Christiaens. In doing so, the church was restored to a basilica, the central nave and aisles were rebuilt in Romanesque Revival style, a transept is added in the same style, the choir is joined by a choir also in Romanesque Revival style with a semicircular choir closure and the tower remains the same, on the portal after that gets a Romanesque Revival style.
