so-called Caesar viewThis short walk gives you a first impression of the species-rich forest in the Llogara National Park and offers a beautiful view of the Bay of Vlorë.The Pass of Caesar (Qafa e Qesarit) derives its name from an event in 48 BC. BC, when Gaius Julius Caesar is said to have landed with his troops in Palasë in the fight against Pompey and from there moved north towards Vlorë. In fact, the exact location of his landing is controversial among historians and with it the question of whether Caesar actually crossed the pass named after him, but the view towards Vlorë from there is still “imperial” today.
