The Obermühle is located on the north-eastern edge of the village next to the church. It is probably the oldest of the two mills in Stellichte and should have been built before 1392. The upper mill belonged to the v. Behrschen farms and originally only milled for the Stellichte estate, which is still one of the largest closed land holdings in the region.

The Niedermühle mill stands on the western edge of Stellichte (Heidekreis).Heinrich Löns was already enthusiastic about its charming location and described it in 1897 in his memoirs "Ein Heidedorf" (A Heath Village) as the most beautiful spot in the entire village. The mill was first mentioned in 1592, but it is probably much older. In 1830, the mill became part of the Thiede family, and today Heinrich Thiede continues to maintain this historic monument.
