In 2009, a replica made of quartzite was erected at the original location in the Sebalder Reichswald forest – near the intersection of Dormitzer Straße in the Tennenloher Forst forest. The shrine is called "Maulaufreißer" (literally "mouth opener"), presumably because of the distinctive shape of its head, which resembles a gaping mouth.
