It is a 500 meter long masterpiece: the Charles Bridge in Prague connects the Lesser Town with the Old Town - and is lined with saints. We show the highlights and their history.

When people in Prague cross this bridge, it's not just to get from one bank to the other. It's far too crowded here for that. Locals also want to go a little deeper into their city on the Charles Bridge, walk into another time and possibly find themselves.

There are hardly any Czech writers who have not dealt with Karlův most. Albert Einstein, who worked as a guest lecturer at Prague's Charles University for a year in 1911, even assumed: "The way to the moon leads over the Charles Bridge, then turn left at the Lesser Town Bridge Tower."
