In 1879 Franziska Straubhaar, born Nägele and Creszentia Stritt, bequeathed legacies to the chapel, which were increased by further bequests in order to enlarge the old church. However, an extension of the chapel proved to be impractical and so the current chapel, which was consecrated on March 19, 1887, was built with the donated funds.
