The Metelen Land Railway Museum on the Münster – Enschede railway line (course book route 407), based in Metelen, has been operated by the Metelen Association of Railway Interest since 1986. V. (EIG) operated and maintained. It is located in the former station building from the 19th century, which was saved from demolition when the station was converted back to a stop in 1984. The building is a historical monument. The station was on the 64 km long Münster – Enschede railway line and went into operation in 1875.
