Shannon Falls Provincial Park is just off Highway 99, the road to Whistler. The park is popular with day-trippers from Vancouver who want to see the falls or ride the Sea to Sky Gondola up to Summit Lodge at 885m.
The waters of Shannon Creek tumble over the cliffs of 'Shannon Falls' down the valley and join the Átl'ḵa7tsem ('Howe Sound') south of the town of Squamish.

With an impressive 335 meters, Shannon Falls are the third highest waterfalls in British Columbia. Shannon Creek cascades into the depths. The main fall alone, which you can see here from the viewing platform, has a height of 198 meters. Tragically, three people lost their lives in 2018 because they underestimated the power of the water and were swept down by it.
