The heptagonal building made of concrete pillars, quarry stone walls with tall, narrow window openings and the slate-covered tent roof, crowned with a heptagonal turret, stands on a hill between Remshagen and Horpe, which is called "Auf dem Höchst". The chapel was created through civic engagement of both denominations, especially from Remshagen. It is considered a special gem of ecumenical efforts. The foundation stone was laid on the day of German unity on October 3, 2000, the inauguration on June 9, 2002.
