In the Monodendri area, the coast offers excellent opportunities for relaxed cycling away from the busy main roads.
The coastal stretch from Monodendri southwards (towards Kaminia/Tsoukalaika) and northwards (towards Vrachneika and Roitika) is ideal for cycling: The paths right by the sea are largely flat and often consist of quiet side roads or paved coastal paths. You'll cycle directly alongside narrow pebble beaches, past small tavernas and beach bars that offer a relaxed atmosphere, especially in summer.
By using these coastal paths, you avoid the busy national highway (EO9), which runs further inland.
