Étang Fourcat and Refuge de l'Étang Fourcat

Very nice loop hike made last week from the power station but watch out for the last snowfields.

Very nice location with 3 lakes in the immediate vicinity. Finding campsites below the hut is not a problem. Very nice tour on the Pic de Malcaras and Pic de l'etang Fourcat is worthwhile. To get to the latter, you go from Malcaras along the ridge with a bit of manual effort.

Very beautiful and photogenic lakes in a high valley, accessible only by long hikes/climbing. Therefore, they are not as crowded as the reservoir in the valley below.
You'll often need your hands on the descent from the eponymous peak, Pic d'Étang Fourcat.
