This spot is just outside Burgate and Fordingbridge. Part of the Avon Valley Path, the trail cuts across the water meadows that the Avon is known for and a pretty foot suspension bridge crosses the river itself.

The bridge is actually made of parts of a different bridge so no one can say the construction industry doesn’t enjoy a bit of upcycling. The river is lovely here, with trees hanging over the water and grasses wafting in the current.
