The Luther Church in Raddestorf is the ecclesiastical center of eight districts. It was consecrated in 1926 (see inscription above the front door) and replaced the old village chapel from 1663, which was demolished in 1929. The wooden pulpit, which is over 500 years old and is considered the oldest in Lower Saxony, is particularly worth seeing. It was previously in the former Nendorf monastery and after the renovation of the church there in 1787/88 it was handed over to what was then the Raddestorf chapel together with a winged altar (which no longer exists). The church is mostly closed. On request, the sexton (lives in the courtyard across the street) will open them for viewing: I experienced it myself years ago on one of my ADFC tours.
