If you have something ringing in the term "Rhön" - probably it's because you've already heard something about the Rhönrad. By the way, that does not really have anything to do with cycling. But: It was here in Schönau a.d. Invented Brend. And by Otto Feick. He remembered funny childhood experiments and in 1925 applied for a patent for the "tire gymnastics and sports equipment". Until today it is turned into sports competitions. The Rhönrad monument reminds of it.
