The name derives from the road (Straz), which already exists since Roman times and comes from Oberhaching and crosses the Isar on the Frundsberghöhe, and the forest (Loh), through which it ran. In the year 818 the place is handed down for the first time. He belonged to the secularization mostly to the monastery Schäftlarn. Until the territorial reform in 1978, the formerly independent municipality Straßlach belonged to the district Wolfratshausen. On May 1, 1978, the formerly independent communities Dingharting and Straßlach were merged to form the new community Straßlach. In 1989, the name of the village was changed to Straßlach-Dingharting.
