    Buildings
In the village, through the middle of which the Hahmbach flows, numerous well-preserved or restored half-timbered houses stand out [12], z. B. in Nordstraße and Dammstraße, around the church and on Tie.

The tower of the Protestant St. Bartholomew's Church was built in the 12th century. In the single-nave church, whose nave was built in 1729, the baroque pulpit altar from 1731, the organ from 1794 [13] and the wooden coffered ceiling painted in the 18th century and the sandstone baptismal font from 1611 are noteworthy. [14] The gallery in the east was added in 1717, that in the west and north in 1722/23. In 1966 the church was renovated.
A stone coffin from the 13th century can be seen in front of the church. According to legend, a knight von Eberhardt is buried in it, who was banned and therefore could not be buried in the church or in the cemetery.
Also in front of the church in 1913 a memorial was erected from boulders to commemorate the Battle of the Nations near Leipzig (1813). There is also a memorial here to commemorate those who fell in both world wars.
A 14 m deep well, restored in 1979, can be seen in Nordstrasse.
