Quartz white sand, clear water in stunning blue and turquoise tones and a meadow with picnic tables - you do not want to leave this place any more.

A white sandy beach made from broken shells, Clachan Sands is one of the prettiest stretches of coastline of North Uist. A haven for wildlife, you may find the elusive corncrake here as well as wildflowers and rare orchids. The picnic benches are a great place to stop for lunch!
