The Protestant village church Michendorf is a half-timbered church from 1743 and is located in the historic village center. Michendorf and its church were completely destroyed in the Thirty Years War. The place remained uninhabited for around 50 years until resettlement began in 1697. The remains of the destroyed church - probably a stone church from the time of the German East Settlement - were demolished in 1703. In 1743 the single-nave half-timbered church was built on the same site.
