The Högling village linden tree may be the oldest tree in the Rosenheim district. The circumference of your trunk is nine meters and is hollow inside and open like a chimney. The wood inside is already very rotten. However, the outer bark and foliage crown are healthy.
During the Middle Ages, court was held under the linden tree. Next to the ancient tree, two linden trees were planted in 1906, the boy's linden and the royal linden.
Linden trees were already a symbol of fertility for the Germanic peoples, and for poets they have always been a tree of love.

Very old tree. Unfortunately, you see it far too seldom today! May she stay healthy for a few more centuries :)
