The Niedererbach development association has erected a monument to the former mine tunnel here. The mouth of the Martinsfound slate pit used to be here. During World War II the tunnel served as an air raid shelter, today it is a retreat for bats and amphibians.
The tunnel entrance is closed. Still very impressive and interesting :-).
