Štola Mír is the youngest, safest and most visited of all the works at Štěpánov. And it also represents the most important modern work in the Štěpánovské ore district. It is located on a steep slope above the Svratka River, about 50 m above the Na Barytě gallery. The entrance to the gallery has long been fitted with iron doors. Behind the entrance, after 70 m, the gallery turns in the NE direction and is divided into two branches: the eastern corridor is about 135 m long, the western 232 m. The adit is excavated along a quartz-barite vein, from the minerals there are still chalcopyrite, malachite and azurite. The richest copper ores are found in marble in the branches of the gallery. The adit was excavated during a geological survey in the years 1959–1963, the heap was located on the opposite bank of the Svratka. Here, the mined rock was transported by slide and to the other bank by a bridge.
