This chapel was probably built in the 13th-14th century in honor of Saint Eloi, the patron saint of blacksmiths and metalworkers. He was revered as a guardian against the plague and other contagious diseases. The ordination of horses still takes place here every year on the first Sunday of July.
The chapel was founded as a Gothic pilgrimage chapel. Over the centuries, the chapel had many other uses, such as stables and coal warehouses. In 1927 she was completely restored. Also in 1992 a restoration took place.
