Restored in 1945, it houses the remains of those who fell in the battle fought on June 5, 1139, between the victorious municipalities of Crema and Milan against Cremona. It is a symbol for the people of Crema, commemorating the battle that followed the siege and sack of Crema by the Cremonese.
