From the village of Kiental you can wonderfully integrate the Aabeberg at 1964m into a circular hike. There is a climb to the summit from the Spiggegrund side valley and on the other side from the Gorneregrund valley floor. The summit itself can be reached from the meeting point of these two different ascents with a gentle ridge hike. From the alpine buildings almost at the top then at the end of a large, gently sloping alpine meadow.

The last 500 meters of the tour, with just under 60 meters in altitude to the highest point of the Aabeberg, make you think more of a walk up a hill than a hike to a summit 😅
