Fantastic wide open sandy beach with promenade and other public spaces. This area is a hub of activity and is one of Porto's most popular surf spots. The cycle route along the front is mainly segregated, although it is occasionally closed, and diverted onto the adjacent road, when public events are happening. Be patient with pedestrians, particularly tourists, who may not be paying much attention to cyclists on the cycleway.

The dedicated bike trail goes right along the 'international beach', which is however of excellent soft sandy Portuguese quality ;-)
