The Germanus Church has its origins in the Middle Ages. The first paintings that were discovered on the sandstone ashlars date back to before 1250. At that time the church consisted only of the large defensive tower. Over the years and centuries, however, the picture changed. The importance as a fortification waned, at the end of the 15th century a nave was added, which was expanded again around 1600.
