10 minutes from the top of Sljeme is Činovnička livada, a favorite for sledding and beginner skiers in winter, and a popular destination for recreation and picnics the rest of the year. It was named after the former Činovnički dom. It is where the trails that go along the Medvednica ridge intersect. The Junac mountain hut and the Žuti mačak ski school are located here.

Činovnička livada (960 m) was named after Činovnički dom, today's Dom "Željezničar" which was built in 1928 as the home of officials of the city of Zagreb and which is located below the meadow, at the intersection of Sljemenska cesta. Below the meadow, near the catering facility Stara lugarnica, where the old Tomislav's home used to be (which burned down in 1934), there is a spring. The "White Downhill" ski trail leads across the meadow, and in winter there are many winter sports fans (especially sledders). This is the main crossroads of hiking trails that go along the ridge of Medvednica or descend to the Zagreb and Zagorje side.
