The Cerro de Monterols (in Catalan, Turó de Monterols), also called Turó d'en Gil, is a small hill in the plain of Barcelona that hardly stands out. The hill was owned by the Gil family [1] and it was built on its slopes, until only the steepest area remained, located above 115 meters above sea level. In 1940 the Barcelona City Council bought the farm and inaugurated the Monterols park.
