Museum located 3 km from the Henri-Chapelle American cemetery. It is installed in an old farm and mainly made up of objects abandoned by the 110 soldiers of the 1st American Infantry Division resting on the farm of Mr Schmetz-père. Mr Schmetz also collected many souvenirs donated by veterans. It is a museum on a human scale, with a very simple welcome.

This museum, founded on the initiative of Marcel and Mathilde Schmetz, is a place of remembrance dedicated to the 1st US Infantry Division in the province of Liège. Located 3 km from the Henri-Chapelle American cemetery, this educational museum, great in terms of hospitality, originality and simplicity, wants to bear witness to the recognition of these "G.Is." who fought courageously for the freedom of the Belgian people. In November 1944, 110 American soldiers from the 26th Regiment of the 1st Infantry Division settled for a few weeks on the farm of Mr. Schmetz's father. This regiment left Clermont on 16 December 1944 for the battlefields of the Ardennes. On 12 June 1994, Bennie Zuskin, an American veteran of the 1st Division, cut the inaugural ribbon of the Remember Museum 39-45.
