The church was built in the 14th-15th cent. Built in the Gothic style in the 16th century, it has been renovated. Striking is the belfry in half-timbered construction.

A bible garden has been lovingly created around the small village church in Niederlepthe. Plants from the Bible, a herb garden with culinary herbs as known from monasteries, a Luther rose and fish planted and planted as a Christian symbol. In summer, the small avenue of dwarf maple trees provides cool shade, at least it also protects against light rain and is a symbol of life in which there are also dark sections, but at some point (at the end of the avenue) it will also be light again.
