The Obermarkt is located in the center of the old town center, which is well worth seeing and directly on the thoroughfare. Here and in the adjacent streets you will notice numerous impressive buildings from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries, including many neat half-timbered houses.
The town hall is also located on the Obermarkt. Built in 1828/29 as a classical plastered building, it was first used as a school building, today it houses the local community administration, the council hall, an old people's room and a museum room.
