Immediately after Servais' death, the Halse city council commissioned his son-in-law, the Polish sculptor Cyprien Godebski, to make a statue. The statue, in Carrara marble, was placed on the Grote Markt, in front of the town hall, and was inaugurated on October 1, 1871.
