The Elkenradergrub is not a river valley, but a dry valley that was created by erosion. A large part of the trees were cut down because of a disease. During the abundant rainfall in the summer of 2021, parts of the walls of the grubbe have subsided.

Unfortunately nothing is left of the "jungle feeling", since in 2020 most of the trees in this area were cut down in a rigorous way. It remains a beautiful piece, but has really lost its charm.
