The Hahnheider Forest is very extensive. It is great to hike on beautifully landscaped paths or across the field on narrow trails. The area is a mixed forest, hilly and also has small ponds. The paths / paths meander back and forth up and down, so that it never gets boring. A highlight is of course the ascent to the tower, from which one has an amazing view of the surrounding country.

Hiking

Especially when the weather is very warm, a walk through the forest is recommended: It's nice and shady, the paths are relatively firm, but you don't sink into the mud when the weather is bad. The nature is beautiful, there was even a deer to see. At the end, a small snack or an ice cream in the center of Trittau is a good idea.
