St Leonard's is a beautiful small church set to the stunning backdrop of Whernside and Ingleborough in the secluded hamlet of Chapel-le-Dale. It dates back to the 17th century, offering the isolated farming community a place for worship and reflection. It served as a burial ground for the navvies that built the nearby Ribblehead Viaduct, Blea Tunnel and the railway.
